Please do check the opening times as some restaurants in the Borders, especially if family run, open from Wednesdays through to Sundays.

Slightly further afield but worth the trip. Seasonsis full of local flavour. Family run by Roger and Bea who work hard to ensure that Seasons stands for quality from the warmth of their welcome and service, to the menus and quality of ingredients. Their lamb from Headshaw Farm, in Oxton, is not to be missed!
Provender is new to Melrose this year and is well worth a visit. They open in the mornings for coffee, lunches are amazing and evening meals mouth watering. There is something very special about the atmosphere in this restaurant and is a place you will want to return to again and again. It is run by the same company who run the cafe/restaurant, Ochiltrees, at Abbotsford House. It is also the same company, Orde Catering, who are our recommended chefs if you are eating in at Airhouses.
