We are delighted that we will be able to welcome you to Airhouses from the 26th April 2021. For your peace of mind we have updated our Terms and Conditions.
The Team at Airhouses understand that you will have concerns about travelling away from home. However, we want to reassure you that will do everything to protect you during your stay in our secluded country lodges.
Firstly we have arranged things so that you don't need to interact with anyone else during your visit (more on that to follow).
Secondly we have taken expert advice both from the Government and our Trade Associations.
For your peace of mind, we have a two tier pricing system in place when you book online.
COVID-19 Cancellation Policy
1. Fully Refundable Price
If you are unable to travel because of a national lockdown or because you are put into a tier where you are not allowed to travel, we will refund in full. This applies only to the address given on the booking form at the time of booking and when travel restrictions coincides with the start of your holiday at Airhouses.
2. Non Refundable Discount - applies to holidays booked prior to end of October 2021.
When booking on line you will see the option to select a Non Refundable Price Discount which will give you a 10% reduction on the price shown.
This means if you are unable to travel because of a national lockdown or because you are put into a tier where you are not allowed to travel, we will refund in vouchers to the full value you have paid. This applies only to the address given on the booking form at the time of booking and when travel restrictions coincides with the start of your holiday at Airhouses.
The vouchers will be valid for 2 years from the original arrival date.
Both the above options cover National Lockdowns and Tier restrictions but do NOT cover you or any member of your party from being unable to travel for any other reason such as if you (or any member of your party) fall ill with Covid or are required to quarantine or self isolate. These events can be covered by you taking out your own travel insurance.
Our normal terms and conditions will apply in that the deposit is non refundable and the balance will be refunded if we are able to re-let the property. The sooner you can let us know the easier it will be to re-let.
Refund Protection Cover
When placing a booking there is an option to purchase Refund Protection. This is not an insurance product but entitles you to apply for a refund in certain predefined circumstances.
Airhouses has always maintained the highest possible cleanliness and hygiene. But now we've made it even more rigorous. What's more, our team are getting ongoing training in enhanced hygiene protocols. All our staff have completed online training in COVID-19 Holiday Let Cleaning Protocols.
Our larger properties will continue to have "fallow" days either side of each booking for the whole of 2021.
We have increased our cleaning/disinfecting daily schedules in all public areas such as the Farm Shop and the Play Den.
All our accommodation has a keyless entry system. These are disinfected before your arrival as is everything else in your lodge. In fact everything is disinfected, cleaned then disinfected again. We are using hospital grade disinfectants which comply with EN14476. They are all environmentally friendly too. We will provide cleaning materials and the same disinfectants within the property for guests to use during their stay.
Hand sanitisers have been installed at the entrance to your lodge and also at the Farm Shop and Play Den.
Hot tubs will be checked twice a day as usual. We'd be really grateful if you could leave the hot tub once you see a team member starting their checks and always keep a safe distance from any of our team.
All of our team will be carefully following the Government's personal hygiene guidelines.
All team members are local. However, if they or a member of their family have been in a high risk situation or are showing any symptoms, they will not work at Airhouses for the recommended 14 days.
Each member of staff is temperature checked on arrival.
Instead of our usual personal welcome, you will receive an app which you can download to your phone. This has lots of pre arrival information as well as everything you will need to know about your lodge and your stay at Airhouses. An example of the App is above. Below is an example of the format of the tablet in each lodge which has instructions, local information, emergency numbers etc.
We've put various measures in place to make sure that you don't need to interact with anyone during your visit if you don't want to. However, we as always are just a phone call away and we are confident you will find our customer service 5 Star as usual.
We will no longer provide the complimentary welcome breakfast basket but we are providing a sealed hamper of local goodies. You can order meat in advance online. When you arrive, this will be ready and waiting for you in your fridge, vacuum packed for extra safety. All meat is from our local butcher and we would ask that you order at least one week in advance.
The Farm Shop will be well stocked with essentials such as tea, coffee etc. We have ordered extra frozen meals and the fridge will also be stocked up with as much cheese, butter and eggs as possible, and of course we will have lots of stock of our delicious ice cream from Giacopazzis.
Any food deliveries you would like to make from Tesco, Sainsburys etc, now need to be booked well in advance. We've asked Tesco to leave orders outside of your lodge and collect the baskets at a later date. When ordering food deliveries on line we suggest that you put a note asking for the deliveries to be left outside your door.
There are options when booking to order local food from our butcher or fruit/veg boxes from Purple Plum in Lauder.
