Christmas in Edinburgh starts in mid November and continues until the 5th January. If you are staying at Airhouses, it is something not to be missed. Then back to your lodge and relax in your very own hot tub with a glass of bubbly!
At nearly 60 metres high, do you dare? Amazing views, flying past the magnificent gargoyles of the Scot Monument. Open from 10 to 10 and you must be at least 1 metre tall! Picture below shows it whizzing round and possibly the more sedate Ferris Wheel close by. In the foreground is the Christmas Tree Maze.
Glide all the way round the Rekorderlig Cider Lodge in St Andrews Square. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult. Skate hire is included it the ticket price and skating aids are available for younger children. Wheelchair users are welcome on the rink.

The Christmas Market will be on East Prince St Gardens and is even bigger than last year. It offers a unique shopping experience with a host of bespoke and traditional Christmas items.
Crafters, artists, gift shops and gastronomic surprises from 10 to 10 every day, apart from 25th December.
Can you find you way through the maze of Christmas Trees through to the centre and then back again? There is also the Elves workshop to find. Tickets can be purchased on line and are day specific but not time specific.
A world first, Silent Light brings together the Street of Light from Edinburgh's Christmas 2015 and 2016 and silent disco headphones to give you the ultimate street party with signing and dancing under an amazing array of 60,000 lights synchronised to music heard only through the headphones.
There are up to 5 Silent Light shows a day, each 20 minutes long.
