Children and the National Museum of Scotland

Looks like another showery day so why not visit the National Museum of Scotland on Chamber Street in Edinburgh. There is so much to do - journey into the heart of Ancient Egypt, build a plane, follow the inspiration behind Brave and explore the Treasure Trove of ancient artefacts and precious objects that help document Scotland's fascinating history. Scottish collections which helped inspire Disney Pixar's Brave. Follow the Brave Trail through the Museum. Then watch the DVD again when you return to your lodge.

You can descend into the Mummy's tomb, build a plane to escape from the rainforest, compose a piece of music using instruments from around the world, or see how many aphids you can eat if you were a ladybird!

The Museum is open from 10.00 until 17.00 and admission is free. There is a Brasserie and a Balcony Cafe.
