All our lodges are over a mile from a public road. All our accommodation has hard floors so no carpets to worry about. Each lodge has a Utility room for drying off your dog after a long walk around the farm. All the lodges have a decking area which is gated so your dog has the freedom to roam yet he or she is close to your lodge. If you are not a dog lover, please do not have any concerns as we are confident that our exceptional housekeeping team well ensure that the cleanliness of all accommodation is 100%. At the moment the Rowan Pod does not have a secure area but it should be fenced off towards the end of August.
Please clean up behind your dog. When your dog fouls it would be appreciated if you could bag it and bin it. The Household Waste bin is fine or, if you are out and about, any public litter bin is OK too.
There are lots of walks around the farm for your dog and if they require more exercise we can advise you on fields which are clear of cattle. A little further afield, there are numerous parks, open spaces and beaches
Please see the leaflet here for the Outdoor Access code for your dog in Scotland.
Dogs are charged at £35 each per week or part week with a maximum of 2 dogs per property, apart from The Lodge which, due to it’s size, is more suitable for one small dog. However, please let us know if you have more than 2 dogs and we are happy to discuss this with you.
It would be appreciated when booking if you would put a note in the Notes Section of the Booking Form advising of the breed of your dog as, being a working farm, there are sometimes a breed we are not too happy with. Please note that we do NOT welcome puppies/dogs under 12 months.
On departure please ensure that the property is left as you found it. We do reserve the right to charge for any damage or any extra cleaning required.
