What’s on in Edinburgh
Edinburgh’s Christmas celebrations are now world famous and it’s easy to see why.
From the mid November through to early January, Princes Street and the gardens are transformed into a magical, festive fairground for all ages. The street becomes home to a traditional German market where you can wander around the beautifully illuminated wooden cabins and browse at the traditional and unusual produce. When there is a chill in the air, why not try some of the Glehewen (Mulled Wine) to warm you up!
The fairground offers something for the children – young and old. The focal points include a fantastic ice skating rink and a beautiful Ferris Wheel, which offers the brave amongst you wonderful views of the city at its festive best.
There are several options to enjoy a trip to the theatre (Oh no there isn’t – Oh yes there is!!) from the traditional pantomimes to ballets and musicals.
The list doesn’t end there, with great shopping, a huge variety of bars and restaurants and a great events calendar over the festive period; you’ll be glad that Airhouses is within an easy drive of Scotland’s capital.
