The Capercaillie, The Lamont and The Ramsay all have Category 2 Assisted Disabled Access, as defined by Visit Scotland.
Equipment such as toilet frames, shower chairs, shower wheelchairs are all available on request during the booking process at no additional charge. All the washbasins are wall mounted and all light switches are wheelchair accessible.
A lot of the walks are level and suitable for mobility scooters. Wheelchairs and Mobility Scooters can be hired locally. For more information have a look at Mobility Solutions or phone 01896 752951 and ask for Donald. Beach Wheelchairs have a child’s and two adult beach wheelchairs and a beach walker which can be hired from the Beach Hut in North Berwick.

For families, toys, book and games are provided. Travel cots (without bedding) and highchairs can be requested during the booking process. There is a stair gate at the top of the stairs in the Capercaillie.
Children can use the hot tubs providing there is at least one adult with them at all times. There is specific information relating to children, their safety and hot tubs in our digital information book.
There is a Play-Den for the Under 7s making rainy days lots of fun. There are also some books and games to borrow for older children as well.
Our walks and trails are securely fenced so safe for children and adults alike.
There are safety signs regarding feeding animals and hand sanitising stations to ensure clean hands after petting/feeding any animals.

We have no large theme parks but calm, rolling countryside and beautiful quiet beaches.
Our lodges are far enough apart so that you have privacy and quiet.
We provide a safe, non judgemental environment.
We can help with places to go which are quieter to avoid sensory overload.
All the televisions have a subtitle facility and any of our own leaflets are available in large print if required.
Our Digital Information Book is now available in each lodge on a tablet for ease of use.
You can drive up to the door. There is gravel outside and a concrete slab ramp to the large entrance door. All doors are wide, no carpets, downstairs cloakroom and the downstairs bedroom is spacious with a large dressing area. The dresssing area is large enough for a single profile bed and this can be hired from https://www.strivemobility.com. The ensuite bathroom has a walk in shower, a large soaking bath and hand shower, and a slightly lower loo. The patio doors from the bedroom have a small platorm and a step down to the gravel patio and hot tub area. All other patio doors have a platform out of the door and a step down onto the decking.
The dining table has plenty of leg room and the chairs are high backed.
There is a large armchair in the living room as well as lots of sofas.
At the top of the stairs there is a gate for the safety of little ones.
There is plenty of car parking around the back and side of the house.
There is a gravel car park and you can drive your car right up to the level wooden ramp to the front entrance door. All the rooms are on the one level and the ensuite bathroom for the Master Bedroom has a large walk in shower and a slightly lower loo. All the doors are wide for wheelchairs and there is plenty of room to manoeuvre in the living areas. As well as two large comfortable sofas there is a high backed chair. The dining chairs are high backed and the dining table has plenty of leg room. There are no carpets, apart from a flat rug at the entrance door.
The decking area off the living and dining room is level and gated. There are then some steps down to the lower decking with the hot tub.
Alternative access to the hot tub can be out of the front door and on the grass to the lower decking. There is a step up to the lower decking from the grass.
There is a gravel car park and you can drive your car right up to the wooden ramp to the front door entrance. All the accommodation is on the one level with two en-suite bathrooms both with walk in showers. The Master Bedroom has a large soaking bath as well and the loo is slightly lower.
The living area has a sofa and two armchairs, one of which is a large snuggler chair, and the dining table has plenty of leg room with high backed dining chairs.
The patio door from the living area opens onto a large level decking, which has railings all round it. There are plenty of armchairs on the decking as well as loungers.
The hot tub is on level decking access from the main door of the property.
There are no carpets, apart from a flat rug at the entrane door.
There is a warm boiler room just outside the main entrance door which is perfect for drying clothes.
There is a gravel car park with level wooden ramp to main door. Downstairs cloakroom. Two steps down to the bedrooms and 6 steps up to the first floor which has combed ceilings.
The en-suite bathroom for the upstairs bedroom also has combed ceilings, a soaking bath and a hand held hair shower.
This lodge is not really wheelchair friendly.
There is a gated decking area from the patio door in the living room with lots of chairs and tables then steps down to a further decking area with the hot tub and more tables and chairs.
Parking right outside with a step up to the decking on which sits the hot tub, or you can bypass this area and walk along the grass to the wooden ramp which takes you up to the main entrance door. This not a wheel chair friendly lodge and is not suitable for anyone who may have mobility issues.
It is not suitable for babies or children
Once inside everything is on the same level.
The Rowan Pod and Hawthorn Pod are not suitable for wheelchair access.
There is a step on the decking into the Hawthorn Pod.
There is a step down into the wet room shower in both the Hawthorn and Rowan Pod.
Access around the bed in the Hawthorn Pod is on one side only.
Access arond the bed, when it is made into a double in the Rowan Pod, is on one side only.
