Scottish Borders Walking Festival

Scottish Borders Walking Festival 2017

The 23rd Scottish Borders Walking Festival is being held in the Peebles area this year from the 3rd September. This festival takes places in a different part of the Scottish Borders each year and this year the theme is Walk Tweeddale - in the footsteps of the drovers.

The Royal Burgh of Peebles is the hub with many of the routes radiating in all directions.

PeeblesKenny Lam / VisitScotland,

Walking in this area is superb and there are a wide range of walks during the Festival utilising the excellent network of old drove roads, rights of way, forest and hill trails, the John Buchan Way and some sections of the Southern Upland Way.

Full details of the walks for each day can be found here together with maps. There will be a guide with each walk. However, if you are a keen walker you may wish to keep the information and details of the walks for another time, perhaps later on in September or October.
